The course places emphasis on good posture, first impressions & body language, communication skills, social etiquette, and more.
Upon completion, participants are encouraged to participate in a four-course Dining Etiquette experience to further practice, enhance socialization skills, and build self-confidence.

Eight-Week Pre-Teen Etiquette Course
Class 1: Posture & Walking I
Posture & Walking I Correct posture when standing and walking. Proper head, hand, and foot positions
Class 2: Introductions
In this class, participants will learn how to give a firm handshake, meet and greet others with self-assurance, and introduce themselves with confidence.
Class 3: Visual Poise I
Sitting properly in chairs; hand and foot positions. Climbing & descending stairs. Entering & exiting cars, squatting and bending.
Class 4: First Impressions & Body Language
Introductions, meeting people for the first time, making eye contact, verbal and non-verbal communication, and the handshake.
Class 5: Dining Etiquette
Proper dining etiquette, table setting, use of flatware, glassware, utensils, napkin folding, and tips on tipping.
Class 6: Communication Skills
Discover communication skills and techniques and how to speak effectively in different settings. Learn the importance of maintaining good eye contact and listening effectively to present your ideas and thoughts.
Class 7: Common Courtesies
Learn the secrets of common courtesies and discover how the basic rules are able to open many doors to success.
Class 8: Presentation Skills
Learn skills to help give more relaxed presentations in front of audiences. Use natural techniques such as voice control and hand placements to avoid anxiety.

To earn your Pre-Teen/Youth Etiquette certificate, you must pass the class/course exam. You can take the Pre-Teen/Youth Etiquette exam online. When you have completed this class/course, you will be ready to start getting ready for the Pre-Teen /Youth Etiquette exam.
